Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anton Guy in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joshua Dugan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Bannister in the 14th minute of play forced Ellinwood FC's goalkeeper Cristopher Dodd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th match minute, Ellinwood FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perry Good to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Lions of Quenns's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Guy came free, but Joshua Dugan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anton Guy to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Lions of Quenns's goalkeeper Joshua Dugan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abe Brennan. Perry Good kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Abe Brennan's late challenge caught a Lions of Quenns's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abe Brennan helped the player get up and apologised. After 69 played minutes Ellinwood FC got a freekick which was hit by Abe Brennan. Ellinwood FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lions of Quenns the free kick.
