Spectators: 6783 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Landon Jacobs got the match started through his kick off. If Guillermo Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Noel Mayberry in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Loren Varner saved Mora FC from getting behind. Loren Varner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Noel Mayberry went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Johnnie Wilkinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Meyer having to interfere. Landon Jacobs was in a good position and ended up with the ball after Mora FC's free kick, but he didn't get a good hit on the ball and blazed it high and to the right of the goal. In the 15th play minute Johnnie Wilkinson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jesus Meyer. 1-1. Loren Varner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Miranda in the 18th minute of play. St. John AFC's Guillermo Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guillermo Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loren Varner having to interfere. Fernando Scruggs's late challenge caught a St. John AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Scruggs helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes Mora FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Scruggs. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind St. John AFC's goalkeeper Jesus Meyer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stewart Hoff during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stewart Hoff hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Guillermo Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noel Mayberry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Loren Varner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Miranda took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Loren Varner. Loren Varner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tom Spencer during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 47 minutes into the match, Noel Mayberry notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Mora FC's Loren Varner. Loren Varner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Mora FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. St. John AFC were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Noel Mayberry was the one to do the kick off. Loren Varner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Mayberry in the 53rd minute of play. Landon Jacobs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jesus Meyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 65 in the game by Guillermo Miranda from a close distance when the talented Loren Varner managed to make a qualified save. Mora FC's players were relieved. In the 71st minute, Landon Jacobs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mora FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. If Noel Mayberry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Johnnie Wilkinson came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Mora FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnnie Wilkinson couldn't finish the play. St. John AFC's Jesus Meyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Landon Jacobs in the 85th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, St. John AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Johnnie Wilkinson came free, but Jesus Meyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Noel Mayberry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute Johnnie Wilkinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. St. John AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
