With a little luck, Temple Terrace FC's Brett Peterson got control of the ball when Richard Gomez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Derek Compton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Woodcliff Lake FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Temple Terrace FC the free kick. Derek Compton hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Emmitt Gillis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Alfredo Sharp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emmitt Gillis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Sharp having to interfere. Brett Peterson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerald Sargent in the 27th minute of play. If Gerald Sargent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Gomez took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brett Peterson. Brett Peterson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. A hard shot 37 in the game by Richard Gomez from a close distance when the talented Brett Peterson managed to make a qualified save. Temple Terrace FC's players were relieved. After 39 played minutes Temple Terrace FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeffrey Simpson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirby Drummond in the 47th minute of play forced Woodcliff Lake FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Sharp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Jeffrey Simpson charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeffrey Simpson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kirby Drummond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Sharp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Emmitt Gillis might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Sharp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emmitt Gillis ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Woodcliff Lake FC's zone, Kirby Drummond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Sharp came out of the goal and Kirby Drummond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Sharp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmitt Gillis, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmitt Gillis in the 78th minute of play forced Woodcliff Lake FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Sharp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Temple Terrace FC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Gomez came free, but Brett Peterson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Temple Terrace FC's Brett Peterson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerald Sargent in the 82nd minute of play. After 84 played minutes Emmitt Gillis rounded Woodcliff Lake FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. In the 87th match minute, Temple Terrace FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cruz Lugo to maneuver through the defense. Brett Peterson came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Woodcliff Lake FC's Richard Gomez. But to his dismay, Richard Gomez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The supporters of Temple Terrace FC booed when Woodcliff Lake FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benny McDaniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Emmitt Gillis fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Temple Terrace FC's protests and gave Emmitt Gillis a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Woodcliff Lake FC had won after a very even match.
