Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gary Otto made the kick off which started today's match. If Gary Otto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bronson Gordon kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Joe Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Bassett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of HTX ASTRO booed when Smacker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Allred didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caleb Lowry in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jim Bassett saved Smacker from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Smacker's Marc Allred got a free kick in the 17th minute. Joe Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jim Bassett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caleb Lowry in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jim Bassett saved Smacker from getting behind. If Quinton Riggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Caleb Lowry sped through Smacker's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jim Bassett. Jim Bassett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Villa in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34thth minute of the game Joe Villa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Smacker's Jim Bassett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Gary Otto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 43 minutes into the match, Caleb Lowry had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jim Bassett. Smacker's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caleb Lowry was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Caleb Lowry got free with Jim Bassett in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute, Joe Villa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The HTX ASTRO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Joe Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. HTX ASTRO's Caleb Lowry got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Smacker's Jim Bassett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Villa in the 73rd minute of play. Caleb Lowry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Caleb Lowry came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the HTX ASTRO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caleb Lowry couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Caleb Lowry managed to get in a good position for a shot. HTX ASTRO's supporters rose to their feet, but Caleb Lowry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim Bassett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Joe Villa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Waylon Stroh's late challenge caught a HTX ASTRO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waylon Stroh helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Smacker's Waylon Stroh got a free kick in the 90th minute. Jim Bassett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joe Villa's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Caleb Lowry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the game, Joe Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Jim Bassett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
