Isidro Coyle struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Simon Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gorda fc. After some careless play in the Gorda fc defense, Jacob Lyles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flint Barrett. The Gorda fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flint Barrett should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gorda fc's goalkeeper Flint Barrett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidro Coyle in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simon Pena saved Plantation Key from getting behind. Simon Pena stood somewhat misplaced when Isidro Coyle came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 18 minute. In the 22nd minute, Quinn Pruett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milo Lefler got free with Simon Pena in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flint Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinn Pruett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Quinn Pruett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flint Barrett was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Jacob Lyles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Gorda fc's Isidro Coyle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simon Pena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jefferson Engle hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isidro Coyle made a kick off. Simon Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milo Lefler in the 51st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Quinn Pruett could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Flint Barrett however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacob Lyles in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flint Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacob Lyles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flint Barrett having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Gorda fc's Milo Lefler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simon Pena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th minute Isidro Coyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Jacob Lyles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plantation Key's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacob Lyles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute, Isidro Coyle made a precise shot to the right of Simon Pena. Plantation Key's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Milo Lefler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Pena having to interfere. Jacob Lyles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Quinn Pruett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kyle Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Flint Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Jacob Lyles lined in a short shot 2-3 behind a frustrated Flint Barrett. Plantation Key's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
