In the 23rd match minute, Whitmore Lake was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Junior Easley to maneuver through the defense. Sherman Underwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute Rosario Sylvester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Keenan Barber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bradly Paris was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. A hard shot 77 in the game by Shannon Bateman from a close distance when the talented Leo Ramos managed to make a qualified save. USA Thunder's players were relieved. Shannon Bateman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Whitmore Lake's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 92 minutes, Stephen Nava mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Whitmore Lake and the USA Thunder players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stephen Nava hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Leo Ramos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shannon Bateman in the 97th minute.
