Clark McNamara started the match with the kick off. Nigel Buddle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aidan Brownell in the 9th minute of the match. Nigel Buddle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marlon Burrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enrique Huddleston hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Sherwood Guillory hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Nigel Buddle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clark McNamara went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 23 minutes into the match, Sharpsburg's Marlon Burrell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nigel Buddle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Union City! In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Sharpsburg. Lyle Palacios stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nigel Buddle. 0-2. Marlon Burrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nigel Buddle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidro Orlinsky hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Marlon Burrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nigel Buddle having to interfere. Warren Crews showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miles Carrasco in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marlon Burrell in the 46th minute of play forced Union City's goalkeeper Nigel Buddle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Marlon Burrell came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nigel Buddle could save by the left post. If Miles Carrasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nigel Buddle was a little too slow when Clark McNamara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-3. 63 minutes into the match, Union City's goalkeeper Nigel Buddle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marlon Burrell. Marlon Burrell's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Nigel Buddle skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Miles Carrasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Union City's supporters rose to their feet, but Miles Carrasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Warren Crews breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Union City's Isidro Orlinsky managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Matthew Callahan in the 68 minute of the game. Nigel Buddle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marlon Burrell in the 73rd minute. Marlon Burrell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nigel Buddle having to make a save. Miles Carrasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warren Crews having to interfere. In the 85th minute Clark McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nigel Buddle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Union City's Miles Carrasco got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miles Carrasco kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match.
