When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jeff Baird sped through Mount Josh's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vince Durham. The crowd rose to their feet as Bennett Coyle kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gerald Aldrich. That made the score 1-1 in the 26 minute of play. Jeff Baird took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vince Durham. Vince Durham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Jeff Baird struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Vince Durham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Woodlands FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carson Thompson in the 38th minute of play forced Mount Josh's goalkeeper Vince Durham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carson Thompson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Vince Durham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Andrew Coats fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mount Josh's protests and gave Andrew Coats a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mount Josh getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Andrew Coats hit a great ball. If Carson Thompson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vince Durham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carson Thompson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Jeff Baird could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Vince Durham made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Freddy Shaw kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vince Durham. That made the score 1-3 in the 61 minute of play. Carson Thompson charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carson Thompson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes Woodlands FC got a freekick which was hit by Carson Thompson. 83 minutes into the match, Woodlands FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Stanley came free, but Gerald Aldrich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vince Durham made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeff Baird in the 90th minute. After a rather tough play, Mount Josh's Teddy German got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The Woodlands FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mount Josh from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
