Jonathon Beam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carson Nicholson in the 13th minute of play. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Austin Hager sped through Captain America's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Darron Mahoney. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanford Williams in the 28th minute of play forced Captain America's goalkeeper Darron Mahoney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Jonathon Beam managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Captain America's Dominique Nicholas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Austin Hager sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carson Nicholson was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Odenton got a freekick which was hit by Dillon Gilliam. Jonathon Beam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carson Nicholson, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Stanford Williams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dillon Gilliam's late challenge caught a Captain America's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dillon Gilliam helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Odenton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dillon Gilliam to maneuver through the defense. Captain America were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Odenton's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kermit Buckley took the corner. Captain America's Kermit Buckley was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathon Beam in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 69th minute Austin Hager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darron Mahoney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Austin Hager received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Darron Mahoney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Bob Brower recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Darron Mahoney. Bob Brower showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Austin Hager received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Odenton would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
