Eddie Robertson hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Delaware FC's goal looked a bit too open when Derrick Todd came free, but Kristofer Pagan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes Delaware FC got a freekick which was hit by Tony Horne. The crowd rose to their feet as Delaware FC's Tony Horne slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Phillip Grimes. That made the score 2-0 after 29 minutes of play. Dwight Ryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phillip Grimes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derick Deleon in the 34th minute of the match. Phillip Grimes made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Dwight Ryan sent off a good shot on target. The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when Spencer Richards put in a rough tackle. The referee gave América de Cali a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Santos Barrett, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Delaware FC's Kristofer Pagan. 2-1. Davis Carlos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Kristofer Pagan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Delaware FC's goalkeeper Kristofer Pagan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dwight Ryan to strike the kick off in the second half. Kristofer Pagan made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Derrick Todd sent off a good shot on target. Phillip Grimes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dwight Ryan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddie Robertson during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes América de Cali got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Robertson. In the 60thth minute of the game Dwight Ryan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but América de Cali's Phillip Grimes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Mohammad Steele was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. América de Cali's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delaware FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, América de Cali's Mohammad Steele got a free kick in the 61st minute. Dwight Ryan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, one of América de Cali:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for América de Cali. The supporters of Delaware FC booed when América de Cali was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddie Robertson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tony Horne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillip Grimes having to interfere. Derick Deleon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Phillip Grimes. América de Cali's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Davis Carlos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kristofer Pagan having to make a save. Dwight Ryan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Phillip Grimes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
