Impossible AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfred Loomis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Arias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute Preston Eldridge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kareem Hurst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rob Albrecht in the 19th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stewart Gauthier during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stewart Gauthier hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Gregg Ciauri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arturo Arias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Preston Eldridge came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Manhasset Hills FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Preston Eldridge couldn't finish the play. Silas Powers kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Brendon Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Preston Eldridge made the kick off in the second half. Stuart West blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arturo Arias having to make a save. When Rob Albrecht came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Impossible AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rob Albrecht couldn't finish the play. In the 55th match minute, Impossible AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stuart West to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Manhasset Hills FC's zone, Rob Albrecht stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Arias came out of the goal and Rob Albrecht tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arturo Arias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfred Loomis in the 65th minute. With 68 minutes on the clock, Mervin Quintero commited a dangerous tackle. Impossible AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfred Loomis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rob Albrecht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Manhasset Hills FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Impossible AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
