Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Benny Foster made the kick off which started today's match. After some careless play in the Pine Island AFC defense, Boyd McCracken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of James Zamora. The Pine Island AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that James Zamora should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Forrest Whitlock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pine Island AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Forrest Whitlock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. DeMarcus Kenny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Romeo Stewart hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Romeo Stewart scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of James Zamora, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute, Hokie Nation's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sherman Barnes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A sloppy throw-in by Rodney Masters in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pine Island AFC's Forrest Whitlock. DeMarcus Kenny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Forrest Whitlock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Forrest Whitlock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. DeMarcus Kenny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sherman Barnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without DeMarcus Kenny having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Forrest Whitlock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Benny Foster came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Hokie Nation fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benny Foster couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sherman Barnes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Warner Colbert charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Warner Colbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Warner Colbert kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Boyd McCracken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Zamora having to interfere. A collision led to Pine Island AFC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Forrest Whitlock hit a great ball. Boyd McCracken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but James Zamora made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Hokie Nation's Blaine Rafferty got a free kick in the 61st minute. The throw-in from Rodney Masters in the 64th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Pine Island AFC's Forrest Whitlock. Sherman Barnes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without DeMarcus Kenny having to make a save. Monty Eddy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. DeMarcus Kenny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pine Island AFC's James Zamora proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Pine Island AFC from getting a goal against them. 75 minutes in the game, Benny Foster fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without James Zamora having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Hokie Nation's Boyd McCracken sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that James Zamora narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hokie Nation's DeMarcus Kenny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachery Chan in the 80th minute of play. Warner Colbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Hokie Nation's zone, Warner Colbert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. DeMarcus Kenny came out of the goal and Warner Colbert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Forrest Whitlock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Forrest Whitlock might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over DeMarcus Kenny. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Forrest Whitlock ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 89 minutes, Warner Colbert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pine Island AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Warner Colbert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hokie Nation's DeMarcus Kenny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sherman Barnes in the 91st minute of play. Warner Colbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without DeMarcus Kenny having to interfere. When the final whistle went the supporters of Hokie Nation were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Pine Island AFC side.
