Kurtis Zaragoza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. DeMarcus Kenny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Boyd McCracken notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Soccer Team FC's Lazaro Jernigan. Lazaro Jernigan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. DeMarcus Kenny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurtis Zaragoza, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Gordon Jeffers hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Benny Foster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kurtis Zaragoza made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Gordon Jeffers sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but DeMarcus Kenny skillfully saved the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Soccer Team FC's goal looked a bit too open when Boyd McCracken came free, but Lazaro Jernigan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurtis Zaragoza's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, DeMarcus Kenny skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Antonio Hairston might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over DeMarcus Kenny. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Soccer Team FC's Lazaro Jernigan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boyd McCracken in the 87th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Kurtis Zaragoza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gordon Jeffers kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After 95 played minutes, Hokie Nation's Romeo Stewart shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lazaro Jernigan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hokie Nation reached it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hokie Nation fans cheered their team off the field, for while Soccer Team FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
