Spectators: 7741 (Terracing: 5807, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 154) Hokie Nation's Benny Foster started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 10 minutes into the match, Benny Foster had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrikki Sorsamäki. Tupper Lake's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benny Foster was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Brendan Vance's late challenge caught a Tupper Lake's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brendan Vance helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hokie Nation's Brendan Vance got a free kick in the 12th minute. Damian Stout was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Tracy in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg DeMarcus Kenny saved Hokie Nation from getting behind. Benny Foster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrikki Sorsamäki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benny Foster, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Jonas Tracy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without DeMarcus Kenny having to interfere. DeMarcus Kenny made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jason Bloom in the 31st minute. If Jonas Tracy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geoff Beckman during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Geoff Beckman kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Geoff Beckman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of DeMarcus Kenny, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonas Tracy to make the kick off. Jonas Tracy kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Jonas Tracy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jason Bloom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jason Bloom in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck DeMarcus Kenny prevented the ball from getting in the gole. DeMarcus Kenny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Tracy in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute of the match Tupper Lake got a corner. Hokie Nation's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Damian Stout ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Tupper Lake's Damian Stout to fire away a dangerous shot which DeMarcus Kenny despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Jonas Tracy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but DeMarcus Kenny was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. A collision led to Hokie Nation getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Romeo Stewart hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Jonas Tracy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but DeMarcus Kenny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jason Bloom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without DeMarcus Kenny having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Jonas Tracy notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Hokie Nation's DeMarcus Kenny. DeMarcus Kenny was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77th minute Jason Bloom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but DeMarcus Kenny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hokie Nation's Blaine Rafferty couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 81st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tupper Lake. DeMarcus Kenny came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Tupper Lake's Jonas Tracy. But to his dismay, Jonas Tracy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 87th minute Jason Bloom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but DeMarcus Kenny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DeMarcus Kenny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Tracy, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tupper Lake fully deserved thier win.
