Spectators: 7573 (Terracing: 5755, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stanton Roy started the match with the kick off. Johnnie Ulrich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without DeMarcus Kenny having to interfere. When Boyd McCracken came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Hokie Nation fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boyd McCracken couldn't finish the play. Boyd McCracken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. DeMarcus Kenny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnnie Ulrich in the 24th minute of play. Jeremiah Gunn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny Foster in the 26th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Boyd McCracken got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 29 minutes into the match, Highland Acres's goal looked a bit too open when Benny Foster came free, but Jeremiah Gunn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Benny Foster got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 32nd minute Benny Foster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremiah Gunn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremiah Gunn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny Foster in the 34th minute of play. DeMarcus Kenny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnnie Ulrich in the 37th minute of the match. DeMarcus Kenny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanton Roy, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Dale Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Benny Foster managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hokie Nation's supporters rose to their feet, but Benny Foster was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremiah Gunn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Benny Foster came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Hokie Nation fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benny Foster couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benny Foster made a kick off. In the 56th minute Benny Foster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremiah Gunn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanton Roy was extremely unlucky when he, in the 61st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. DeMarcus Kenny was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stanton Roy showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 62 minute of play. Benny Foster recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boyd McCracken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jeremiah Gunn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benny Foster in the 71st minute of play forced Highland Acres's goalkeeper Jeremiah Gunn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes of play, Highland Acres's Stanton Roy made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. DeMarcus Kenny was left in no man's land by his defense there! Johnnie Ulrich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without DeMarcus Kenny having to interfere. After 85 played minutes Hokie Nation got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Vaughn. After recieving a nice pass, Highland Acres's Theodore Thompson tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Hokie Nation's DeMarcus Kenny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanton Roy in the 90th minute of play. 99 minutes into the match, Hokie Nation's goal looked a bit too open when Stanton Roy came free, but DeMarcus Kenny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Highland Acres were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Hokie Nation's much stronger midfield.
