Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stanton Roy started the match with the kick off. Derrick Whitmore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremiah Gunn having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Derrick Whitmore made a precise shot to the right of Jeremiah Gunn. Highland Acres's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 13th minute Derrick Whitmore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremiah Gunn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15thth minute of the game Derrick Whitmore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Highland Acres's Jeremiah Gunn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 15 played minutes Highland Acres got a freekick which was hit by Rod Kendall. Jeremiah Gunn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Derrick Whitmore went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 22nd minute of the match Dale Santos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hector Soto skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Stanton Roy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Highland Acres's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanton Roy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Soto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stanton Roy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the game, Highland Acres's Johnnie Ulrich nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hector Soto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Jerseyville's zone, Johnnie Ulrich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Soto came out of the goal and Johnnie Ulrich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johnnie Ulrich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Soto having to interfere. When Garth Guillory fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jerseyville's protests and gave Garth Guillory a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Jerseyville getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Garth Guillory hit a great ball. Jerseyville's Hector Soto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanton Roy in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

54 minutes into the match, Highland Acres's goalkeeper Jeremiah Gunn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Todd Blanco. Derrick Whitmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jeremiah Gunn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Todd Blanco had several of the Highland Acres's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 60 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Jeremiah Gunn as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Jerseyville booed when Highland Acres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kraig Espinosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Highland Acres's Jeremiah Gunn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Highland Acres from getting a goal against them. Rod Kendall hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the game, Jerseyville's Todd Blanco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeremiah Gunn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4.
