With 18 minutes on the clock, Lewis Aldrich commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 19 played minutes Soccer Team FC got a freekick which was hit by Lewis Aldrich. Lazaro Jernigan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Al Bowers in the 20th minute of play. The referee ignored Wyckoff Torpedoes's protests and gave Woody Velasco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th minute, Woody Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Soccer Team FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Wyckoff Torpedoes were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rickie Grady made a kick off. Raymond Weiss came free in the 53rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Brendon Reeder, but to the joy of Wyckoff Torpedoes's supporters the ball went over. Lazaro Jernigan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickie Grady in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Damian Gillis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Soccer Team FC's Lazaro Jernigan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Padilla in the 64th minute of play. Pascal Kennedy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Lazaro Jernigan made a huge save. In the 76th minute, Raymond Weiss ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brendon Reeder was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Rickie Grady fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lazaro Jernigan having to interfere. Lazaro Jernigan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickie Grady in the 95th minute of play. Gordon Jeffers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon Reeder having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Soccer Team FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
