Pine Island AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Rickie Grady scored to the left of an out of position James Zamora, making the score, 1-0. In the 9th minute, Warner Colbert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pine Island AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 12 minutes into the game, Sung Dudley threw the ball into play from the sideline. Pine Island AFC's Brendon Ponce quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 13th minute, Sherman Barnes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pine Island AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Sherman Barnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Brendon Reeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Forrest Whitlock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon Reeder having to interfere. A collision led to Pine Island AFC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Warner Colbert hit a great ball. After 24 played minutes Pine Island AFC got a freekick which was hit by Brendon Ponce. Wyckoff Torpedoes were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Pine Island AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Al Bowers took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Damian Gillis heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Sherman Barnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon Reeder having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Sung Dudley threw the ball into play from the sideline. Pine Island AFC's Brendon Ponce quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Warner Colbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Brendon Reeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute Warner Colbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendon Reeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Warner Colbert struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Brendon Reeder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pine Island AFC. Sherman Barnes scored 1-3 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brendon Reeder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Pine Island AFC booed when Wyckoff Torpedoes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal Kennedy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Wyckoff Torpedoes's Al Bowers got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Fred Nguyen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brendon Ponce might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brendon Reeder. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brendon Ponce ran back to his position shaking his head. Sherman Barnes kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Sherman Barnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Brendon Reeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brendon Reeder came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Pine Island AFC's Sherman Barnes. But to his dismay, Sherman Barnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. 73 minutes into the game, Wyckoff Torpedoes's Pascal Kennedy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. James Zamora made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pascal Kennedy in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck James Zamora prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Wyckoff Torpedoes defense, Sherman Barnes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brendon Reeder. The Wyckoff Torpedoes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brendon Reeder should have stopped the shot. Sherman Barnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Brendon Reeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickie Grady in the 89th minute of play forced Pine Island AFC's goalkeeper James Zamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Warner Colbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brendon Reeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendon Ponce in the 95th minute of play. Pine Island AFC played a much better game than Wyckoff Torpedoes and deserved their victory. The Wyckoff Torpedoes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
