Spectators: 7687 (Terracing: 5766, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Derrick Whitmore got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Jerseyville's Derrick Whitmore got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Boyd McCracken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hokie Nation's supporters rose to their feet, but Boyd McCracken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Soto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benny Foster in the 5th minute of play forced Jerseyville's goalkeeper Hector Soto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boyd McCracken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Hector Soto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Derrick Whitmore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jerseyville's Todd Blanco got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Todd Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Hokie Nation getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Boyd McCracken hit a great ball. Jerseyville's Hector Soto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boyd McCracken in the 24th minute of play. Hector Soto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benny Foster in the 27th minute of the match. Boyd McCracken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Soto having to interfere. Benny Foster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Hector Soto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Boyd McCracken's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hector Soto was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. 40 minutes in the game, Derrick Whitmore fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without DeMarcus Kenny having to interfere. Romeo Stewart kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Derrick Whitmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. DeMarcus Kenny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hokie Nation's Ignacio Carrier got a free kick in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Todd Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jerseyville's Todd Blanco got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Romeo Stewart fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hokie Nation's protests and gave Romeo Stewart a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hokie Nation getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Romeo Stewart hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Blaine Gillespie sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hokie Nation's DeMarcus Kenny didn't even have to move. If Derrick Whitmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Derrick Whitmore hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. A collision led to Jerseyville getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Garth Guillory hit a great ball. Blaine Rafferty took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hector Soto. Jerseyville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. DeMarcus Kenny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derrick Whitmore in the 90th minute of the match. In the 90th match minute, Jerseyville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garth Guillory to maneuver through the defense. The Hokie Nation players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
