The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Soccer Team FC booed when Jerseyville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Flanagan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Soccer Team FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Lewis Aldrich hit a great ball. Garth Guillory kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Lazaro Jernigan came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Jerseyville's Todd Blanco. But to his dismay, Todd Blanco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 26th minute Derrick Whitmore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lazaro Jernigan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Soccer Team FC's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Guillory came free, but Lazaro Jernigan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurtis Zaragoza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Derrick Whitmore made a kick off. Todd Blanco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Jerseyville booed when Soccer Team FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis Aldrich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Todd Blanco might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lazaro Jernigan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Todd Blanco ran back to his position shaking his head. Lazaro Jernigan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todd Blanco in the 57th minute of play. Soccer Team FC's Lazaro Jernigan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derrick Whitmore in the 60th minute of play. Lazaro Jernigan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derrick Whitmore in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Soccer Team FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Cobi Bernard hit a great ball. Lazaro Jernigan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derrick Whitmore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonio Hairston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It was beautiful to see Soccer Team FC's Cobi Bernard in action when he in the 83rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Jerseyville's Hector Soto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Jerseyville from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, Todd Blanco made a precise shot to the right of Lazaro Jernigan. Soccer Team FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After 89 played minutes Soccer Team FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Cuevas. Lazaro Jernigan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derrick Whitmore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lazaro Jernigan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Derrick Whitmore, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jerseyville fans cheered their team off the field, for while Soccer Team FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
