Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lincoln Velazquez took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Mundelein FC's Lincoln Velazquez got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 18thth minute of the game Erik Pratt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mundelein FC's Mickey Alston was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 18 played minutes Mundelein FC got a freekick which was hit by Joey Trevino. Mickey Alston stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Pratt's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Lincoln Velazquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antony Leal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lincoln Velazquez ran back to his position shaking his head. Virginia Gardens AFC's Antony Leal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Virginia Gardens AFC from getting a goal against them. When Merrill Devine came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Virginia Gardens AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Merrill Devine couldn't finish the play. Dave Mabry charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dave Mabry the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mundelein FC booed when Virginia Gardens AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Mabry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trinidad Leal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antony Leal having to make a save. Antony Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lincoln Velazquez in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Mundelein FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Pratt came free, but Mickey Alston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mickey Alston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merrill Devine, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 38 minutes, Mickey Duvall mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mundelein FC and the Virginia Gardens AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mundelein FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Mickey Duvall hit a great ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Joey Trevino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mundelein FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joey Trevino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trinidad Leal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antony Leal having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Pratt to make the kick off. Trinidad Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antony Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trinidad Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joey Trevino charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joey Trevino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Pratt in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mickey Alston saved Mundelein FC from getting behind. Mickey Alston stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Pratt's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. A collision led to Mundelein FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Mickey Duvall hit a great ball. Erik Pratt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Mickey Alston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Merrill Devine's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mickey Alston read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Antony Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lincoln Velazquez in the 82nd minute of the match. Mickey Alston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Pratt, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Trinidad Leal might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antony Leal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trinidad Leal ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Virginia Gardens AFC defense, Trinidad Leal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antony Leal. The Virginia Gardens AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antony Leal should have stopped the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
