After having played for 2 minutes, Sean Gifford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Selinsgrove's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sean Gifford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 4th minute, Blakes AC's Houston Battle ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bradley Coulter. Bradley Coulter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 15th minute, Sean Gifford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benedict Chin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Bryan Carbajal hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When Kenny Dalton fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blakes AC's protests and gave Kenny Dalton a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Blakes AC's Kenny Dalton got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute, Grant Sheppard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benedict Chin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Lance Kilgore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenny Dalton hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Grant Sheppard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benedict Chin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Selinsgrove's zone, Houston Battle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bradley Coulter came out of the goal and Houston Battle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 48 minutes into the match, Selinsgrove's goalkeeper Bradley Coulter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lance Kilgore. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Grant Sheppard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benedict Chin was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. If Houston Battle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Selinsgrove's goal looked a bit too open when Lance Kilgore came free, but Bradley Coulter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Houston Battle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute, Bryan Carbajal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Blakes AC's Alejandro Hope tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Houston Battle sped through Selinsgrove's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bradley Coulter. If Sean Gifford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Houston Battle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Blakes AC's goalkeeper Benedict Chin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Houston Battle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Bradley Coulter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Blakes AC booed when Selinsgrove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Underwood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lance Kilgore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradley Coulter having to interfere. Benedict Chin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grant Sheppard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Lance Kilgore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Although Blakes AC had been in control for most of the match, Selinsgrove still came away with the win.
