Benjamin Reilly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Ratliff, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Benjamin Reilly was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ace Acevedo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Johnson Tracy came out and tried to block the shot, but Ace Acevedo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 17th minute. Osvaldo Schaefer kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Jeff Lewis struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Benjamin Reilly didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DC united. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Ace Acevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. ALIANZA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ace Acevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnson Tracy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. DC united's Johnson Tracy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan McGowan in the 25th minute of play. Jeff Lewis charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeff Lewis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, DC united was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Lewis to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as ALIANZA FC's Ace Acevedo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Johnson Tracy. That made the score 3-1 after 33 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Giuseppe Moon managed to get in a good position for a shot. ALIANZA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuseppe Moon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnson Tracy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norman Kern in the 41st minute of play forced DC united's goalkeeper Johnson Tracy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in DC united's zone, Ace Acevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnson Tracy came out of the goal and Ace Acevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johnson Tracy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ace Acevedo in the 44th minute of the match. DC united's Johnson Tracy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Schaefer in the 47th minute of play. Johnson Tracy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giuseppe Moon in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeff Lewis to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Juan McGowan managed to get in a good position for a shot. ALIANZA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan McGowan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnson Tracy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ace Acevedo took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johnson Tracy. Johnson Tracy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Giuseppe Moon managed to get in a good position for a shot. ALIANZA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuseppe Moon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnson Tracy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Johnson Tracy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Moon in the 63rd minute of the match. DC united's Peter Ratliff got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bill Hopson's late challenge caught a DC united's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bill Hopson helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 70 minutes, DC united's Felipe Jarrett got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Benjamin Reilly. Johnson Tracy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan McGowan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Giuseppe Moon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johnson Tracy was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Osvaldo Schaefer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnson Tracy having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Giuseppe Moon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ALIANZA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ace Acevedo in the 92nd minute of play forced DC united's goalkeeper Johnson Tracy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind DC united's goalkeeper Johnson Tracy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norman Kern in the 95th minute of play forced DC united's goalkeeper Johnson Tracy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ALIANZA FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
