In the 4th minute Giovanni Fuller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolland Sanders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Crystal Cove F.C.'s Giuseppe Middleton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Solomon Campos in the 5th minute of play. Giovanni Fuller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rolland Sanders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Giovanni Fuller kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rolland Sanders. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. The supporters of Santa Clarita Currents booed when Crystal Cove F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Jaramillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ethan Ali charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ethan Ali the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ethan Ali kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Ethan Ali managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crystal Cove F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ethan Ali was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Crystal Cove F.C. getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Dirk Ritter hit a great ball. If Solomon Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Solomon Campos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giuseppe Middleton. Crystal Cove F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Solomon Campos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Solomon Campos to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Nick Harper notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Santa Clarita Currents's Rolland Sanders. Rolland Sanders was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carson Weller might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giuseppe Middleton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carson Weller ran back to his position shaking his head. Rolland Sanders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Harper in the 63rd minute of play. Rolland Sanders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick Harper, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Crystal Cove F.C.'s goalkeeper Giuseppe Middleton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Solomon Campos. When Oliver Holland fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crystal Cove F.C.'s protests and gave Oliver Holland a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Crystal Cove F.C. getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Oliver Holland hit a great ball. With his leg Giuseppe Middleton managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Santa Clarita Currents's Solomon Campos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ethan Ali recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute Nick Harper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolland Sanders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alonzo Rosales kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Solomon Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Clarita Currents's supporters crossed their fingers, but Solomon Campos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Crystal Cove F.C. had played much better football throughout.
