Jamel Dupre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristobal Carmichael's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. With a little luck, Tesla TEC's James Bergstrom got control of the ball when Curt Dwyer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Curt Dwyer might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over James Bergstrom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Curt Dwyer ran back to his position shaking his head. 22 minutes into the match, Tesla TEC's Cristobal Carmichael sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jamel Dupre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Tesla TEC's Brent Cherry got a free kick in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Reuben Rasmussen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of James Bergstrom, 1-1. Hector Jeffers hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. James Bergstrom made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Edmund Cruz sent off a good shot on target. After 39 played minutes Pelicans SC got a freekick which was hit by Domenic Whitman. Sylvester Purvis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Curt Dorsey made a kick off. Brent Cherry charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brent Cherry the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tesla TEC's Brent Cherry got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Nils-Christian Overå hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute Cristobal Carmichael collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. When Silas Knutson fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pelicans SC's protests and gave Silas Knutson a yellow card for diving instead. Silas Knutson hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Jamel Dupre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brent Cherry in the 62nd minute. James Bergstrom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reuben Rasmussen in the 66th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Devin Conley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Bergstrom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmund Cruz's late challenge caught a Tesla TEC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmund Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pelicans SC's Edmund Cruz got a free kick in the 71st minute. Pelicans SC's Jamel Dupre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Pelicans SC from getting a goal against them. Devin Conley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Bergstrom having to interfere. Tesla TEC's James Bergstrom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curt Dwyer in the 91st minute of play. Devin Conley scored 2-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of James Bergstrom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Pelicans SC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
