Ulysses Pruitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rich Donaldson having to interfere. Isaiah Huddleston blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rich Donaldson having to make a save. 15 minutes into the match, Wayland's goal looked a bit too open when Rudolph Kohler came free, but Rich Donaldson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brent Clement in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Del Wheeler saved Wafflemen FC from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, Wayland's goal looked a bit too open when Rudolph Kohler came free, but Rich Donaldson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Del Wheeler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brent Clement, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hunter Graves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulysses Pruitt during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Del Wheeler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hunter Graves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Del Wheeler went to the wrong direction when Joseph Cronin was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Isaiah Huddleston struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Rich Donaldson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wafflemen FC. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rudolph Kohler to make the kick off. If Rudolph Kohler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wayland's Hunter Graves got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Del Wheeler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brent Clement in the 67th minute of play. Hunter Graves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Del Wheeler having to interfere. Rich Donaldson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolph Kohler in the 75th minute of the match. After 75 minutes, Lawrence Wallace mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wayland and the Wafflemen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Del Wheeler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brent Clement, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Isaiah Huddleston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wafflemen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaiah Huddleston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Wayland's Sid Acuna got a free kick in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Isaiah Huddleston managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wafflemen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaiah Huddleston was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rich Donaldson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Lawrence Wallace hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Brent Clement managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wayland's supporters rose to their feet, but Brent Clement was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Del Wheeler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hunter Graves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Del Wheeler made a huge save. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Wafflemen FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Wayland for much of the match.
