After a defensive mix-up in Athetic's zone, Teodoro Fountain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Allen Raines came out of the goal and Teodoro Fountain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Link received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Philip Vela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon Wright could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Philip Vela made a huge save. After 17 minutes of play, Mahopac AFC's Ronald Dillon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Allen Raines was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Teodoro Fountain came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Mahopac AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Fountain couldn't finish the play. Philip Vela was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dante Link showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 24 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dante Link in the 32nd minute of play forced Mahopac AFC's goalkeeper Philip Vela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kasey Rocha's late challenge caught a Mahopac AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kasey Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mahopac AFC booed when Athetic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasey Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Link fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Vela having to interfere. With a little luck, Mahopac AFC's Philip Vela got control of the ball when Ramon Wright tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Dante Link came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Athetic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Link couldn't finish the play. If Ramon Wright had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Philip Vela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dante Link's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Athetic were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Mahopac AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kasey Rocha took the corner. The corner ended in Bruce Stephens almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mahopac AFC's Philip Vela did a great save. Philip Vela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kasey Rocha in the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Ramon Wright notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Mahopac AFC's Philip Vela. Philip Vela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute, Dante Link made a precise shot to the right of Philip Vela. Mahopac AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Kasey Rocha got his second yellow card in the match during the 74th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Allen Raines made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sung Aguilar in the 76th minute. Dante Link sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Link struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Philip Vela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Athetic. Dante Link received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Philip Vela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Ramon Wright got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
