Bo Engel was a little too slow when Graham Atkinson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. Bo Engel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graham Atkinson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Richie Contreras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute Graham Atkinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Engel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Chandler AFC's Octavio Egan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregorio Blankenship made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Conklin in the 84th minute of play forced Olivehurst's goalkeeper Gregorio Blankenship to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
