Alejandro Velasco's late challenge caught a Beverly Hills's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Dominic Bocanegra fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olivehurst's protests and gave Dominic Bocanegra a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Beverly Hills booed when Olivehurst was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominic Bocanegra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Timmy Barnett was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Beverly Hills fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tristan Espinosa should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Olivehurst had won after a very even match.
