Dwight Cooper helped the player get up and apologised. Marcus Barnhart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Winfred Akers in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kirby Park saved Leo & Chivo from getting behind. When Sonny Marquez fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leo & Chivo's protests and gave Sonny Marquez a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Apathy FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Leo & Chivo:s goal. After 30 played minutes Apathy FC got a freekick which was hit by Tyrone Sweeney. If Winfred Akers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Robin Robles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Winfred Akers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Kirby Park tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Winfred Akers to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Barnhart in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cezary Koczara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st minute, Ward Rouse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Apathy FC's Chuck McCord got a free kick in the 64th minute. 67 minutes into the game, Ward Rouse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Apathy FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leo & Chivo the free kick. In the 68th minute Rusty Connor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cezary Koczara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rusty Connor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Winfred Akers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Kirby Park made a huge save. 76 minutes into the match, Apathy FC's Winfred Akers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kirby Park narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cezary Koczara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Winfred Akers got free with Kirby Park in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Winfred Akers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leo & Chivo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
