Rueben McCormick who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Kirby Park when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kirby Park was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Scotty Hargrove showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Russ Thurman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Barnhart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Rusty Connor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russ Thurman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Scotty Hargrove cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Kirby Park was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Scotty Hargrove in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kirby Park saved Leo & Chivo from getting behind. Russ Thurman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Barnhart in the 34th minute of play. Sal Clayton kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Kirby Park made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Rueben McCormick sent off a good shot on target. If Rueben McCormick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Scotty Hargrove was the one to do the kick off. Scotty Hargrove fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirby Park having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Scotty Hargrove's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kirby Park was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After having played for 60 minutes, Rueben McCormick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samson AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rueben McCormick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Scotty Hargrove succeeded in the game's 63rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Rueben McCormick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Kirby Park tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Scotty Hargrove put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kirby Park.
