Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Colby Grubb in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stephen Corona prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Colby Grubb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stephen Corona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stewart Bocanegra in the 34th minute of the match. Stephen Corona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Colby Grubb, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Stewart Bocanegra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephen Corona having to interfere. Brielle's Stephen Corona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Colby Grubb in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brendon Crandall was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Brielle's Stephen Corona got control of the ball when Colby Grubb tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stewart Bocanegra might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stephen Corona. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After some careless play in the Florida AFC defense, Brendon Crandall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Derek Sullivan.
