Huracan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Devoto Shores FC the free kick. Monty Sheldon acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sydney Whitlock. Marcus Bruner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The wind increased when Shelton Stratton made the kick off in the second half. Reuben MacFarland lost his temper 55 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The goalkeeper, Trevor Marin, was totally fooled by Huracan's Rico Powers, who 58 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Willie Browne scored 3-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Monty Sheldon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 71 played minutes Devoto Shores FC got a freekick which was hit by Raul Swenson. Willie Browne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Monty Sheldon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trevor Marin came out and tried to block the shot, but Shelton Stratton slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 81st minute. A collision led to Devoto Shores FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Reuben Ross hit a great ball. Devoto Shores FC's Trevor Marin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Devoto Shores FC from getting a goal against them. Dario Nugent got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 94th minute, Dario Nugent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Willie Browne left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Devoto Shores FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Huracan's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
