The Warrensville Heights fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ward Kruse should have stopped the shot. Ward Kruse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicholas Bennett in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ward Kruse saved Warrensville Heights from getting behind. If Jamar Weathers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ward Kruse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicholas Bennett's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Ward Kruse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicholas Bennett, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The Warrensville Heights players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Wilburton FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicholas Bennett was the one to do the kick off. Nicholas Bennett might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ward Kruse. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. But to his dismay, Kent Weeks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Nicholas Bennett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ward Kruse having to interfere. If Nicholas Bennett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the game, Marcos Barrera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Warrensville Heights's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wilburton FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Warrensville Heights's Marcos Barrera got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When the match was over Wilburton FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Warrensville Heights throughout the match.
