Ezra Holbrook in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vicente Ayala, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 22nd minute, Hayden Cavazos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ward Kruse was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Desmond Fuentes charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Desmond Fuentes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of IRON BOYS booed when Warrensville Heights was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graig Swift didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Graig Swift hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 38 minutes, Ezra Holbrook managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Warrensville Heights's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezra Holbrook was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, IRON BOYS's goalkeeper Vicente Ayala had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ezra Holbrook. Vicente Ayala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Graig Swift in the 43rd minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kent Weeks made a kick off. A collision led to Warrensville Heights getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Graig Swift hit a great ball. Hayden Cavazos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 75 minutes into the match, IRON BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Weeks came free, but Vicente Ayala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lane Nielsen fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. IRON BOYS's Vicente Ayala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezra Holbrook in the 82nd minute of play. In the 88th minute, Kent Weeks ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vicente Ayala was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezra Holbrook in the 94th minute of play forced IRON BOYS's goalkeeper Vicente Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lane Nielsen hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The IRON BOYS players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Warrensville Heights from taking control.
