The nice shot from Cristobal Ivy in the 4thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Walker Babcock had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Tanner Tripp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boston Celtics's supporters rose to their feet, but Tanner Tripp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wes Boyles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 15 minutes, Harvey Greene managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boston Celtics's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harvey Greene was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boston Celtics's Walker Babcock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Quinones in the 21st minute of play. Walker Babcock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristobal Ivy in the 23rd minute. Walker Babcock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Quinones, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute of the match, Renato Quinones tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Walker Babcock saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tanner Tripp took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wes Boyles. Wes Boyles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 40 played minutes Boston Celtics got a freekick which was hit by Warner Jensen. The audience was convinced that Renato Quinones's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Walker Babcock was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 45th minute, Tanner Tripp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renato Quinones to make the kick off. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Earl Gant hit a great ball. In the 56th match minute, Boston Celtics was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by D.J. Allred to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darren Bender in the 62nd minute of play forced Boston Celtics's goalkeeper Walker Babcock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tanner Tripp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Walker Babcock came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Borussia Dortmund's Cristobal Ivy. But to his dismay, Cristobal Ivy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Tanner Tripp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boston Celtics's supporters rose to their feet, but Tanner Tripp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 81 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Keith Calderon. 84 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Tanner Tripp came free, but Wes Boyles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes Harvey Greene rounded Borussia Dortmund's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Harvey Greene managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boston Celtics's supporters rose to their feet, but Harvey Greene was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wes Boyles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute, Tanner Tripp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Borussia Dortmund fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Boston Celtics were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
