With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keith Steward in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stacey Naylor saved Ringwood from getting behind. If Keith Steward had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Titus Abbott's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stacey Naylor was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Lance Crowe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stacey Naylor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Connor Hickey in the 19th minute of play forced East Moriches AFC's goalkeeper Garrett Horne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. East Moriches AFC's Garrett Horne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Connor Hickey in the 20th minute of play. Lance Crowe struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Stacey Naylor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for East Moriches AFC. East Moriches AFC's Garrett Horne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rob Clearwater in the 41st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Keith Steward got free with Stacey Naylor in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute Ward Gillespie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garrett Horne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Keith Steward made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind East Moriches AFC's goalkeeper Garrett Horne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stacey Naylor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Keith Steward's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Titus Abbott's late challenge caught a Ringwood's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Titus Abbott helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, East Moriches AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Titus Abbott to maneuver through the defense. Garrett Horne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaiah Garrison in the 56th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Rob Clearwater ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Garrett Horne was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Lance Crowe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute of the match King Altman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stacey Naylor skillfully saved the ball. If Lance Crowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, East Moriches AFC's Keith Steward nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stacey Naylor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 80th play minute Rob Clearwater came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Garrett Horne. 1-2. Garrett Horne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaiah Garrison in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the East Moriches AFC defense, Rob Clearwater kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Garrett Horne. The East Moriches AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Garrett Horne should have stopped the shot. If Connor Hickey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Keith Steward hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ringwood walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
