If Marlon Lemons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dirk Link received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rodger Lim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Rolf Richey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Eckert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Marlin Veltman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kenneth Eckert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Deleon, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Kenneth Eckert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Deleon in the 22nd minute of the match. Demons F.C's Kenneth Eckert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Deleon in the 24th minute of play. Enrique Deleon might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kenneth Eckert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrique Deleon ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th minute, Enrique Deleon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nicollet FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Marcus Fenton was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Demons F.C! The referee gave Nicollet FC a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eusebio Ruff, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Demons F.C's Kenneth Eckert. 0-2. Pablo Macias fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 39th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. In the 41st minute, Demons F.C's Dirk Link dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enrique Deleon was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Marlon Lemons got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pablo Macias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodger Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Macias in the 57th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Pablo Macias made a precise shot to the right of Rodger Lim. Nicollet FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. If Wilmer Childs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremy Calloway's late challenge caught a Demons F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremy Calloway helped the player get up and apologised. Jeremy Calloway kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. When Marlon Lemons fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Demons F.C's protests and gave Marlon Lemons a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nicollet FC booed when Demons F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marlon Lemons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilmer Childs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Rodger Lim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodger Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirk Link in the 82nd minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Demons F.C players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
