CYCLONES FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HBG Knoxville the free kick. After a rather tough play, CYCLONES FC's Milan Guzman got a free kick in the 9th minute. A collision led to HBG Knoxville getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Louie Crane hit a great ball. Reuben Pate struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Landon London didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CYCLONES FC. Milan Guzman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Landon London having to make a save. Landon London made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reuben Pate in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Milan Guzman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CYCLONES FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milan Guzman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Milan Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reuben Pate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Landon London having to interfere. When Pat Fenton fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HBG Knoxville's protests and gave Pat Fenton a yellow card for diving instead. Pat Fenton kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dirk Stewart in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ken Winston saved CYCLONES FC from getting behind. Landon London took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reuben Pate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Louie Crane hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. CYCLONES FC's Milan Guzman got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Landon London didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when CYCLONES FC's Milan Guzman shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 73rd minute Reuben Pate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Landon London saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dirk Stewart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. HBG Knoxville's Landon London proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save HBG Knoxville from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for HBG Knoxville. Lenny Owen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ken Winston. 1-2. Dirk Stewart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ken Winston having to interfere. CYCLONES FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
