In the 17thth minute of the game Mason Butcher who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Van Horn's Tanner Arden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, HBG Knoxville's Mason Butcher sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tanner Arden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Van Horn getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Arnoldo Rubin hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Lenny Owen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Van Horn's Tanner Arden didn't even have to move. Van Horn's Tanner Arden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mason Butcher in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Van Horn's goal looked a bit too open when Mason Butcher came free, but Tanner Arden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Landon London made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Stevie Horner sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Van Horn defense, Dirk Stewart kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tanner Arden. The Van Horn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tanner Arden should have stopped the shot. HBG Knoxville's Dirk Stewart got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 38 minutes of play, HBG Knoxville's Dirk Stewart made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tanner Arden was left in no man's land by his defense there! Van Horn's Tanner Arden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mason Butcher in the 43rd minute of play. Tobias Chapman hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mason Butcher made a kick off. HBG Knoxville's Dirk Stewart got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Van Horn's goalkeeper Tanner Arden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dirk Stewart. Dirk Stewart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Tanner Arden made a huge save. Dirk Stewart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Tanner Arden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Henry Walden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HBG Knoxville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Van Horn the free kick. In the 64th minute, Henry Walden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dirk Stewart got free with Tanner Arden in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Dirk Stewart managed to get in a good position for a shot. HBG Knoxville's supporters rose to their feet, but Dirk Stewart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tanner Arden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tanner Arden made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dirk Stewart in the 75th minute. Tracy Diaz kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. With a little luck, Van Horn's Tanner Arden got control of the ball when Dirk Stewart tried to sneak it across the goal line.
