Donnie Bauman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Lockwood having to interfere. After 23 played minutes High Ridge got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Prather. High Ridge's Stefan Prather got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Art Platt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Tod Lockwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clay Fisher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Warren Borden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Binghamton AFC's Warren Borden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clay Fisher narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

It was a penalty for High Ridge! After 88 minutes High Ridge's goalkeeper Clay Fisher managed, with a little bit of luck, save Sebastian Browne's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Sebastian Browne did an outstanding performance 88 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-1 to the right of an irritated Clay Fisher in the goal. With a little luck, High Ridge's Clay Fisher got control of the ball when Warren Borden tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Binghamton AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Binghamton AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
