The supporters of Cross City FC booed when New York Towers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wendell Ziegler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rocky Hilton's late challenge caught a Cross City FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rocky Hilton helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, New York Towers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rocky Hilton to maneuver through the defense. D.J. Veltman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Hank Gill when he managed to save the team from getting behind. New York Towers's Hank Gill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save New York Towers from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd match minute, Cross City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darren Pham to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cross City FC's Darren Pham got a free kick in the 24th minute. Jesse Cody stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rocky Hilton's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. With his leg Hank Gill managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Cross City FC's D.J. Veltman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hank Gill came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Cross City FC's D.J. Veltman. But to his dismay, D.J. Veltman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 42nd minute, Darren Pham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Anton Worthington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Cross City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Worthington came free, but Jesse Cody reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Hank Gill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from D.J. Veltman in the 56th minute of the match. Darren Pham succeeded in the game's 57th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. D.J. Veltman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored Cross City FC's protests and gave Daren Ezell a yellow card for diving instead. Daren Ezell kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Jesse Cody showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Worthington, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. If Anton Worthington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cross City FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
