Spectators: 7684 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Darren Pham got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Cross City FC's Jesse Cody got control of the ball when Cliff Robertson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cliff Robertson got free with Jesse Cody in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th minute, Cliff Robertson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas London in the 13th minute of play forced Cross City FC's goalkeeper Jesse Cody to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cliff Robertson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Jesse Cody skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Ari Brandon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes in the game, Ari Brandon fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jesse Cody having to interfere. Cliff Robertson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Jesse Cody when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ari Brandon in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jesse Cody saved Cross City FC from getting behind. Jesse Cody took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ari Brandon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 25 minutes, Ari Brandon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chalco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ari Brandon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cross City FC's Bart Huerta suffered a sore thigh after 29 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ari Brandon charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ari Brandon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 30 played minutes Chalco got a freekick which was hit by Ari Brandon. 32 minutes into the game, Ali Stoddard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cross City FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chalco the free kick. Ali Stoddard kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Ari Brandon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesse Cody stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ari Brandon's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Chalco's Ari Brandon got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ari Brandon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Cliff Robertson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jesse Cody. Cross City FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cliff Robertson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jesse Cody made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Robertson in the 56th minute of play. After 58 minutes, Ahmed Luna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cross City FC and the Chalco players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cross City FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ahmed Luna hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ari Brandon in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jesse Cody saved Cross City FC from getting behind. Cliff Robertson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jesse Cody tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, D.J. Veltman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jesse Cody came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Chalco's Ari Brandon. But to his dismay, Ari Brandon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 72nd minute Ari Brandon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesse Cody saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cliff Robertson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jesse Cody read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Jesse Cody made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Robertson in the 78th minute of play. When Cliff Robertson came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Chalco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cliff Robertson couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Cross City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ari Brandon came free, but Jesse Cody reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Chalco players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
