Lane Bacon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keith Levine, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Quincy Koenig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Travis Bristol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Travis Bristol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Schaffer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quincy Koenig in the 28th minute of play forced Mormons FBC's goalkeeper Travis Bristol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oren Broussard might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lane Bacon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oren Broussard ran back to his position shaking his head. Oren Broussard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Dickson struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Lane Bacon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mormons FBC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eric Schaffer to strike the kick off in the second half. Lane Bacon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oren Broussard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Lane Bacon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Travis Bristol was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Roberto Moreno.
