Spectators: 7775 (Terracing: 5832, Seating: 1788, VIP seats: 155) Rocky Ford's Ricky Crews started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fred Kohler hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the game, Roderick Burnett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rocky Ford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mormons FBC the free kick. After 12 played minutes Rocky Ford got a freekick which was hit by Roderick Burnett. After a defensive mix-up in Rocky Ford's zone, Oren Broussard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Kirkpatrick came out of the goal and Oren Broussard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Maurice Cornelius fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rocky Ford's protests and gave Maurice Cornelius a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, Rocky Ford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurice Cornelius to maneuver through the defense. Ricky Crews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Travis Bristol having to interfere. Oren Broussard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kevin Kirkpatrick read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. When Deon Hawthorne came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Rocky Ford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deon Hawthorne couldn't finish the play. Deon Hawthorne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rocky Ford's Ricky Crews in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mormons FBC's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Mormons FBC's Travis Bristol got control of the ball when Deon Hawthorne tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deon Hawthorne got free with Travis Bristol in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricky Crews in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Travis Bristol saved Mormons FBC from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oren Broussard to make the kick off. Travis Bristol came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Rocky Ford's Deon Hawthorne. But to his dismay, Deon Hawthorne quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Travis Bristol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Crews in the 64th minute of play. After 64 minutes, Nelson Hollingsworth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mormons FBC and the Rocky Ford players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th match minute, Mormons FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Hollingsworth to maneuver through the defense. After 65 played minutes, Rocky Ford's Nathaniel Randolph shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Travis Bristol came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rocky Ford reached it. Oren Broussards short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Kevin Kirkpatrick to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 69th minute Ricky Crews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Travis Bristol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Oren Broussard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Travis Bristol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricky Crews went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Deon Hawthorne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Mormons FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricky Crews came free, but Travis Bristol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, Rocky Ford's Deon Hawthorne made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Travis Bristol was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Rocky Ford fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Rocky Ford's Ricky Crews looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 96 played minutes Rocky Ford got a freekick which was hit by Maurice Cornelius.
