Seating: 1150, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ari Brandon took the kick off in the first half of the match. Scott Bolden took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Graham Bullock. Chalco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eric Schaffer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Graham Bullock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quincy Koenig came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Graham Bullock could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Chalco's Terrence Ferrell got a free kick in the 15th minute. Lane Bacon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ari Brandon's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Graham Bullock made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Quincy Koenig sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chalco's goalkeeper Graham Bullock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Cliff Robertson came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Chalco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cliff Robertson couldn't finish the play. Club Atletico Peñarol's Lane Bacon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cliff Robertson in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute, Cliff Robertson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lane Bacon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ari Brandon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atletico Peñarol's Lane Bacon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ari Brandon in the 44th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eric Schaffer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Quincy Koenig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Peñarol's supporters rose to their feet, but Quincy Koenig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Graham Bullock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the match, Chalco's goal looked a bit too open when Quincy Koenig came free, but Graham Bullock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eric Schaffer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th match minute, Chalco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas London to maneuver through the defense. After 61 played minutes, Club Atletico Peñarol's Laurence Boles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Graham Bullock came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atletico Peñarol reached it. A collision led to Chalco getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Drew Colvin hit a great ball. Eric Schaffer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Graham Bullock having to interfere. Ari Brandon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lane Bacon having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ari Brandon in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lane Bacon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Club Atletico Peñarol's Eric Schaffer got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 84 minutes, Quincy Koenig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Peñarol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quincy Koenig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Graham Bullock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Schaffer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Club Atletico Peñarol booed when Chalco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antoine Bright didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Cliff Robertson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chalco's supporters rose to their feet, but Cliff Robertson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lane Bacon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Eric Schaffer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Graham Bullock came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Peñarol's Quincy Koenig. But to his dismay, Quincy Koenig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.
