With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ari Brandon in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rex Strickland saved Besëlidhja Lezhë from getting behind. Rex Strickland made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Cliff Robertson sent off a good shot on target. Darin Wilhelm's late challenge caught a Chalco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Darin Wilhelm helped the player get up and apologised. Darin Wilhelm kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Donnie Hilliard took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rex Strickland. Besëlidhja Lezhë's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Donnie Hilliard hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. If Ari Brandon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Dean Church hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Cliff Robertson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Chalco's Cliff Robertson in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Besëlidhja Lezhë's goalie prevented a goal. If Ari Brandon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Lamb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Graham Bullock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Cliff Robertson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tyrese Peters kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Ari Brandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Cliff Robertson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rex Strickland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Robertson in the 69th minute of play. Shawn Heath hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Antoine Bright recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rex Strickland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ari Brandon, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Domenico Murray heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 81st minute, Ari Brandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rex Strickland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoine Bright, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After a rather tough play, Besëlidhja Lezhë's Vincenzo Redding got a free kick in the 84th minute. The supporters of Chalco booed when Besëlidhja Lezhë was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Lamb didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cliff Robertson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rex Strickland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Chalco were the better team. Chalco's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
