After 57 minutes, Terrance Khan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New York Towers and the Rocky Ford players grew even worse after the yellow card. Terrance Khan kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Hank Gill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Crews, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hank Gill came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Rocky Ford's Ricky Crews. But to his dismay, Ricky Crews quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 65th minute, Deon Hawthorne left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rocky Ford fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricky Crews in the 68th minute of play forced New York Towers's goalkeeper Hank Gill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Maurice Cornelius fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rocky Ford's protests and gave Maurice Cornelius a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rocky Ford's Maurice Cornelius got a free kick in the 75th minute. During the 90th minute of the match Terrance Khan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Terrance Khan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 91st match minute, New York Towers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terrance Khan to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Deon Hawthorne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rocky Ford's supporters rose to their feet, but Deon Hawthorne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hank Gill breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 98th minute of the match Rocky Ford got a corner. New York Towers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nathaniel Randolph ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rocky Ford's Nathaniel Randolph was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hank Gill in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rocky Ford had played much better football throughout.
