Cason Cedillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Derrick Goldstein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Strickland having to interfere. After 16 played minutes Besëlidhja Lezhë got a freekick which was hit by Darin Wilhelm. In the 17th minute of the match Charles Lopez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rex Strickland showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Besëlidhja Lezhë's Rex Strickland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cason Cedillo in the 20th minute of play. Rex Strickland came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Riverside's Cason Cedillo. But to his dismay, Cason Cedillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Riverside's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Lamb came free, but Shawn Chavez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saul Frederick might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shawn Chavez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saul Frederick ran back to his position shaking his head. Rex Strickland didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Derrick Goldstein went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Rex Strickland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Derrick Goldstein, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Derrick Goldstein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riverside's supporters crossed their fingers, but Derrick Goldstein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The audience was convinced that Cason Cedillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rex Strickland was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Rex Strickland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cason Cedillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 65th minute, Derrick Goldstein got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Shawn Heath during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th match minute, Besëlidhja Lezhë was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shawn Heath to maneuver through the defense. Fletcher Vargas charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fletcher Vargas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th minute, Fletcher Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cason Cedillo hit a great ball. Rex Strickland didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 86th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Derrick Goldstein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darin Wilhelm kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Riverside left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Besëlidhja Lezhë.
