An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Macri in the 4th minute of play forced Futura FC's goalkeeper Rodger Voss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodger Voss came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportivo Leon's Gabriel Macri. But to his dismay, Gabriel Macri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Damien Keith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Orville Gillis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andy Madsen. That made the score 1-1 in the 20 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Futura FC's zone, Damien Keith stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodger Voss came out of the goal and Damien Keith tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damien Keith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodger Voss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Özdilek in the 27th minute of play. Andy Madsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orville Gillis in the 32nd minute of play. Dustin Hopper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Futura FC's Orville Gillis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andy Madsen. That made the score 2-1 after 39 minutes of play. 42 minutes into the game, Thad Reaves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportivo Leon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Futura FC the free kick. After 42 played minutes Club Deportivo Leon got a freekick which was hit by Thad Reaves. Andy Madsen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Orville Gillis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 43 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orville Gillis made a kick off. Rodger Voss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damien Keith, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The supporters of Club Deportivo Leon booed when Futura FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Yu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mehmet Özdilek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 61 minutes of play, Futura FC's Orville Gillis made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andy Madsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Douglas Solis charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douglas Solis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Futura FC got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Solis. Andy Madsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orville Gillis, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 69 minutes of play, Futura FC's Orville Gillis made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andy Madsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Leon's zone, Orville Gillis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 84th minute, Orville Gillis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodger Voss made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Mehmet Özdilek sent off a good shot on target. Club Deportivo Leon's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Futura FC had won, even though Club Deportivo Leon had held more of the ball.
